About the artist:

Kamil Bednarek comes from Brzeg and has been involved in music since his school days. He began as the vocalist of the reggae band Star Guard Muffin, with whom he won festival competitions and quickly gathered the first fans. He presented himself to a wide audience in 2010 in the program “I Have Talent”, where he reached the final and took second place. The debut album “Respect” hit the top of the Polish sales list. A year later, the band made an inspiring trip to Jamaica, where they recorded the maxisingial “Jamaican Trip” at the legendary Tuff Gong studio with the participation of leading Jamaican musicians such as Capleton, Dean Fraser and The Tamlins.

Since 2012 he has been performing under the name BEDNAREK. The album “Jestam” also debuted at number one and was called a diamond record, and the next album, “I Breathe”, was partly made in Jamaica. Over time, the artist moved away from pure reggae towards the broadly understood pop, without losing his characteristic, warm sound.

In 2017, Bednarek founded his own label Space Records, and the album “Talizman” released by his label went gold just a month after its release. A year later, together with the band, he appeared in the MTV Unplugged project, from which the album “MTV Unplugged BEDNAREK” was created, the second release published by the artist himself. 2019 brought another change: as part of the #bednarekinaczej project, Kamil established cooperation with pianist, composer and producer Jan Smoczyński and invited new artists and musicians to play together. The result is, among others, the single “Bez przy”, which won the status of a gold record two weeks after its release. Subsequent songs, such as “Moments”, “Warrior of Light” or “Pull Up”, announced the album “DIFFERENTLY”, which was released in 2021.

Kamil Bednarek remains one of the most recognizable Polish artists, whose work is constantly evolving, combining passion, authenticity and modern sounds. On February 13, 2027, he will return to the stage of Warsaw's Barn to spend time with the audience on Valentine's evening.
