Candidates of Death — dir. Maciej Cuske, Poland 2026, 95'

Three guys together with the father of one of them have been going on vacation together every year for more than 15 years to shoot another horror movie in the extraordinary outdoors and mysterious places of Poland. Will their friendship last until the end of the world? A dozen years ago, Maciej took his son and two of his colleagues on vacation, during which they shot a horror movie together. This is how he wanted to distract the boys from computers. He had no idea then that it would turn into one of the greatest adventures of his life and that together they would create not only a unique, but certainly one of a kind, horror series called Death Candidates.

Today the boys are almost 30 years old. They have changed a lot, and each of them is looking for their own way. Death Candidates is a record of their cinematic adventures over the course of a dozen years. It is a film about themselves, about growing up, questions, fears and dreams, and above all about the power of long-term friendship.
