It's that time again this season: The Karajan Academy awards the Claudio Abbado Composition Prize. This time, the award went to Croatian composer Sara Glonarić. The prize is associated with a commissioned work composed especially for the Academy, which will be premiered in this concert. The program is complemented by Arnold Schönberg's expressionist Transfigured Night and Mozart's Passionate Symphony No. 40. Visual artist Norbert Bisky also creates a work of Schönberg's music live on stage.

His canvas stands in front of block C, facing blocks A and D — you therefore do not see the work from block C, G and H in the meantime. During the break, there is the opportunity to view the work retrospectively.
