KARLA

KARLA comes to Lille VEGA with a presence that goes far beyond the edge of the stage

KARLA effortlessly crosses the field between pop and hip-hop, and with her latest release “Independent” she adds another dimension to her musical universe with more organic and live-oriented productions.

Although KARLA considers herself quite an independent person, she has also experienced meeting someone you suddenly cannot live without. It's the all-consuming infatuation and close relationship she puts into words in her new single.

“Independant” was created in collaboration with Lauge and Valentin from Blown, who got their eyes on KARLA after experiencing her live in Byhaven.

The excitement developed into a musical friendship and later an invitation to play support for Blown at their two sold-out concerts at Store VEGA. Here KARLA took a lively stand with the audience and, among other things, jumped in as Lamin's substitute teacher on the hit “All In”.

And that kind of maneuver requires a certain amount of courage and assertiveness.

The two characteristics have KARLA, who delivers high energy on stage, catchy hooks and a presence that is usually associated with artists who have played many concerts.

In the VEGA context, however, KARLA is gradually becoming experienced. In addition to the support concerts at Store VEGA, on September 26, she played a sold-out show at Ideal Bar, where it became clear that KARLA and VEGA are not done with each other.

On March 31, KARLA therefore advances one step up the Vega ladder and occupies Little VEGA. Here, she's laid in the tile oven for an evening where pop and hip-hop merge, and where she gets even more space to display her superior presence on stage.
