Carnival in Cuban Rhythms

“I want to play like that too!” “cried a boy from the audience, who was given the atmosphere of the concert and the temperament of the artists from the band José Torres & Havana Dreams. In another part of the room, the girl whispered in her mother's ear that she would like to learn salsa.

During the Carnival in Cuban rhythms, children will definitely not need encouragement to dance: colorful lights dynamically changing to the rhythm of exuberant Cuban music and colorful accents on the stage will captivate the little listeners to play together. The concert will begin with a Cuban overture, taking the audience into the atmosphere of hot Havana.

An interactive event for children, combining singing, music and dance, will become a wonderful, multidimensional experience. Its participants will not only get to know the rich instrumentation of the band José Torres & Havana Dreams. They will also hear how it happened that an African drum and a Spanish guitar appeared in the Cuban tradition. In addition, they will learn the basic steps of salsa and rumba. They will also learn about the songs that we will hear in the original language — Spanish, and what role music plays in the life of the inhabitants of the island. Works arranged by Filip Torres will be performed with the participation of the NFM of the Wrocław Philharmonic. We invite you to a concert that combines two worlds: Cuban folk music in modern arrangements and classical symphonic sound.
