The great adventure of Charles, like most great adventures, began quite simply. If it wasn't a coincidence, it might not have happened, or it could have happened to someone else. Happily, it happens to our Karolica! Accidentally found in a crevice of the floor, a blue bead gives her extraordinary powers, allows her to fulfill her dreams and makes nothing the same again...
“Karolcia” is a play about dreams, about empathy, about growing up, but also about theater: about its magical power to turn fiction into a real experience that is funny, touching, surprising. Actors transform into characters in front of the audience and take them on a journey into a world where anything is possible.
“Karolcia” is a show full of magic, sounds and fun!
A performance based on the themes of Maria Krüger's book, it engages viewers on many levels, allowing them to enter the world of the Karolci by activating all their senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell and even taste. The performance will use elements of puppet theater, shadow theater and radio theater.
Children from 6 years old are welcome. The show is also recommended for children with visual impairment. Its form and content have gained the acceptance of specialists from the Polish Blind Union.
- Interview with director Anna Skuratowicz on Radio Nowy Świat in the band “In the middle of the day” conducted by Agnieszka Lipka-Barnett, 31 March 2025. More on the website nowyswiat.online. LISTEN.
