Katarzyna Dąbrowska “13 dates DaNuty. Rinn chansons o liefde” — concert as part of the 62nd Student Song Festival in Krakow

Danuta Rinn was an artist with a comprehensive musical education. The ease with which she performed superdifficult compositions, as well as the lightness, grace and freedom of her swinging pose a real challenge to those who try to face her repertoire. Few contemporary female singers have the vocal abilities corresponding to the level of difficulty of this material. One of the few is certainly Katarzyna Dąbrowska, whose original timbre of voice gives Rinn's well-known and beloved songs a completely new sound. She is supported by brilliant arrangements by Urszula Borkowska and a humorous script by Magdalena Smalara.

The thirteen songs selected for the program became an excuse to meditate on love. However, the one who claims that everything has already been said about this is wrong. Most of us have our own love story. Most of us have dated, chatted or will eventually go on some date. The date as a promise, the gateway to the future, the prelude to the relationship, the vestibule of the relationship, but also the date as a nightmare.

Where to find potential partners? Where to go on a date, what to wear, what to eat? How to care for a relationship and how to maintain it? These questions will not be answered in the play “13 Dates of DaNuta. Rinn songs about love”. However, perhaps you will learn to accept compliments, learn the secret of painlessly parting with “non-working” partners with the help of dedicated poetry, and understand what a symptom of lack of appetite can be. Above all, however, you will hear great, fresh and energetic sounding songs of one of the greatest Polish singers of all time — Danuta Rinn — performed by the phenomenal Katarzyna Dąbrowska, winner of the 43rd Student Song Festival in 2007.

The concert is part of the 62nd edition of the Student Song Festival — the oldest song festival in Poland. For more than six decades, the Festival has been promoting debut artists and works that carry an authentic, creative message. It was here that Ewa Demarczyk, Marek Grechuta, Maryla Rodowicz, Jacek Kaczmarski, Stanisław Soyka, Renata Przemyk and Adam Nowak began their careers.
