Go to an intimate concert in which Katarzyna Żak — winner of the audience award at the Opole Festival — leads listeners through the most beautiful Polish love songs, from pre-war slagers to contemporary hits. This is an evening for those who love “to the kill”, are just looking for the right words or healing the heart after parting. It will be lyrical, in places with a grain of salt, but always close to the text and emotion.
The program will include compositions by Henryk Wars, Jerzy Wasowski, Jerzy Matuszkiewicz, Marek Jackowski (Maanam), Grzegorz Ciechowski (Republika) and words by Julian Tuwim, Jeremy Urzel, Wojciech Młynarski, Agnieszka Osiecka, Marek Dutkiewicz, Kayah, Piotr Bukartyek, Marek Kościkiewicz and others.
The author of the arrangement is Bartek Krauz (accordion), and on stage the artists are accompanied by: Hadrian Tabęcki, Piotr Malicki, Bartek Krauz and Witek Cisło — composer of the extremely loving piece “Prócz Ciebie nothing”. Delicate, contemporary elaborations will bring out different shades of love — from tender nostalgia to a light, danceable pulse.
