Kathrin Pechlof Trio

The trio around harpist and SWR Jazz Prize winner Kathrin Pechlof presents their highly acclaimed new album HYPEROBJEKT for the first time in Berlin. Since 2011, the ensemble has been developing an independent, finely branched, chamber music sound language — influenced by impressionist and classical modernism, contrapuntal techniques, improvised music and contemporary jazz. The boundaries between composition and improvisation become permeable, every sound becomes an impulse, every sound develops wide resonances. The result is a breathing sound space between silence and intensity, intimacy and space. — “heartbreakingly beautiful” (O. Clausnitzer DLF)
