Kazik, I was just kidding

A musical performance about Poland of the 80s and 90s, transformation, Solidarity, Wałęsa and the social and moral changes of the time. For many citizens, this was a time of disillusionment with democracy, Balcerovich's drastic economic policies, which consequently led to the victory and return of the “post-communists”.

The main character is a musician, accordionist, colleague KAZIK who in a great monologue of confession deals with that period of phonographic thieves, dripping evenings, life of musicians and romances with politics. The musical setting will include songs of the legendary group KULT and KAZIKA.

The drama “Kazik, I just joked” was written by one of the best Polish prose writers and columnists, winner of the Polityka Passport, finalist of the Nike Literary Award and the Angelus Central European Literary Award, Ziemowita Szczerka. The text, written for the special order of our Theater, tells about the fate of punk and rock groups of that time and the emerging stars of the stage, who for the following decades set trends in Polish music.
