On a psychedelic sound journey with KESHAVARA in VEGA

Somewhere between Cologne and India, KESHAVARA finds their very own musical universe.

Here, krautpop, psychedelic soundtracks and Western as well as South Indian music traditions merge into a brightly coloured sonic kaleidoscope where English, German and Tamil coexist.

This autumn, the German-Indian band is currently releasing their fourth album, Moondram Sevi — which is Tamil for “the third ear”. The album unfolds a dreamy borderland between memory and imagination; the record is inspired by childhood Kollywood movies, psychedelic visions and pure musical curiosity.

On the new songs, 12-string guitars, soaring strings and grooves meet, leading the mind towards the golden age of funk. The result is equal parts exotic sonic journey and danceable pop magic.

Since the release of the album III (2024), KESHAVARA has played its way through Europe on festivals and tours with Khruangbin and Grandbrothers among others. The band has built a reputation as one of the most original voices on the European psych-pop scene with concerts that unite music, narrative and visual imagination.

On November 2, KESHAVARA will occupy Ideal Bar with their sumptuous universe of dreamy melodies, psychedelic grooves and boundless adventurousness.
