This Melbourne trio combines hazy psychedelia with heavy stoner rock riffs and a love of progressive rhythms and almost mournful in character, powerful climaxes.

Their songs have a strong emotional impact, often eliciting deep, almost physical reactions — from poignant melancholy to a sense of majestic, almost heavenly delight. The vocal parts oscillate between ethereal falsetto and mesmerizing, soft singing and passionate wailing, punctuated by occasional throaty screams.

Skin Thief is an instrumental trio playing a heavy version of progressive post-metal. Their music combines crushing, bass-based riffs and shredded beats with a dark, mesmerizing vibe.

The compositions guide the listener through introspective soundscapes that often develop into powerful, exploding climaxes.

In 2025, Full Contact Safari Records released their latest album “Frozen in the Act of Breaking”, after which the band embarked on an Australian tour with Khan. This will be their first tour of Europe.
