Cinema for the senior: Vivaldi and me

Kino Centrum at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Toruń invites you to a special screening of the film “Vivaldi and Me” with a lecture and discussion with Dr. Radosław Osiński.

The event will take place as part of the Cinema for Seniors series.

A new film from the producers of “Great Beauty” and “Youth”. A colorful, gripping, music-filled story about one of the most outstanding composers in history — Antonio Vivaldim.

Venice, early 18th century — a city of contrasts. On the one hand, wealth, art and moral freedom, on the other, strict religious institutions and clear social divisions. At the Ospedale della Pietà orphanage, talented teenage violinist Cecilia (Tecla Insolia) finds herself under the wing of a new teacher — Antonio Vivaldi (Michele Riondino). Surrounded by his care, she begins to believe that she can avoid an arranged marriage and fight for her own way.
