Sometimes all it takes is a tiny crack to collapse everything that seemed stable. And perhaps because we never really know those who are close to us... Carlo and Elisa, a fulfilled and brilliant couple, live in Rome in the midst of successes, habits and a love that perhaps is no longer what it used to be. He is a university professor and a writer in a creative crisis, she is a brilliant journalist who is also appreciated abroad. In search of new stimuli, they head to Morocco with longtime friends Anna and Paolo, and their teenage daughter, Vittoria. Amid unresolved conflicts, mysteries, and glances that blur boundaries and undermine what has long been held to be certain, the group is forced to confront topics no one would ever want to touch.
