Kinski 100! : My favorite enemy, [DF] GB, D, Finn, USA, 1999, directed by Werner Herzog, Klaus Kinski, Thomas Mauch, 95 min
Their collaboration has long been a myth of German cinema. The visionary Munich director Werner Herzog and his alter ego Klaus Kinski created five joint works between 1972 and 1987, which went down in the annals as classic auteur films. In the end, the two model eccentrics were so divided that their artistic paths parted ways. In 1999, a conciliatory duke takes stock of the years spent together with Kinski, who died in 1991, with the documentary My Favorite Feind. He visits places where they worked together once again and lets companions have their say.
