Kira Skov - about inspiration and change

Meet Kira Skov, who is current with the memoir 'Liv Forladt', for a conversation about what has inspired, shaped and changed her; about life, death and music. At the end of the evening, Kira Skov will give a few tracks from her repertoire.

Kira Skov is one of Denmark's most prominent singers and composers; known for her uncompromising, heartfelt and great dedication to rock music.

In her current debut book 'LIV FORLADT', Kira Skov tells through stories, poems and lyrics about her life in music since 1990's Los Angeles, London and Copenhagen. She describes how life changes when her husband dies in 2017, and how grief becomes a new and permanent guest, which changes her gaze on rock music's mythological self-narrative.

Kira Skov has released numerous albums as the frontman of the rock band Kira & The Kindred Spirits and in her own name. She has received several awards for her work and has also translated Patti Smith's 'The Book of Days' (2022)
