He was one of the most scandalous artists of the 20th century, and the bar was set really high. Insatiable in his work, erotic life, hunger to make money. Thirsty for applause, adoration and constant affirmation of self-worth.
Klaus Kinski, because he is mentioned here, was a charismatic actor. He is considered one of the most colorful and controversial figures of European cinema of the 20th century. He was an outstanding artist and at the same time an insatiable sexaholic. A monster, a man with obviously psychopathic traits. He was also the protagonist of countless scandals both in his private and professional life. His youth was marked by poverty, loneliness and the trauma of World War II.
Kinski has appeared in more than 130 films and in many theatrical productions. He created iconic roles in Werner Herzog's films - “Aguirre, the Wrath of God”, “Nosferatu the Vampire”, “Woyzeck”, “Fitzcarraldo”. Married four times, father of three children. Posthumously accused by his daughter Pola in her autobiography “Mouth” of a long-standing nightmare of sexual harassment.
The show is a study of obsession, passion, anger and extreme emotions that destroyed not only the hero himself but everything around him. This is the study of a genius who turned out to be a monster. It is also a journey through the actor's biography: from the bedbug and cockroach-filled room where he vegetates with the whole family in early childhood to luxurious residences in London or Paris; from the narrow streets of Amsterdam's red light district to the jungle where Kinsky made one of several outstanding films with Werner Herzog. It is above all a universal story about the need for love, loneliness, destruction so great that neither success, wealth, family, nor another devoted and devoted woman can calm her down.
It is also a painful and brutal reckoning with the profession of an actor, whom Kinski claimed he sincerely hated. He also hated fame, he hated working with directors, he also probably hated himself. Klaus Kinski is an excuse to create another colorful, complicated stage personality for Kamil Maćkowiak.
