In this workshop, you will experiment with kinetic sand, a special material that sticks to itself and can be reshaped over and over again. You knead, squeeze, layer and divide the sand, let it trickle, crumble or roll and experience how new shapes and surfaces are constantly being created.
Your experiments become your own pictures. With the drawing pen, you can capture shapes and outlines. You will then see your works again in very different sizes — sometimes as if under a magnifying glass, sometimes projected huge onto the wall. Similar to artist Jeewi Lee in her exhibition “Residual Memories,” you focus on traces that movements leave behind in the sand and that are easily overlooked in everyday life.
Admission included, free admission up to 18 years of age, admission possible at any time, for children over 3 years of age and adults.
With friendly support from GASAG.
