What happens when the world is viewed through the eyes of the youngest viewer? Then an ordinary day in the country can turn into an unusual theatrical adventure, and buzzing fields, hay, sounds of nature and a stork become the heroes of the story.
“Klekot” is an intimate performance created for the youngest children - viewers aged 0-3 years. It is a story full of warmth and attentiveness about the rhythm of nature, rural life and joyful discovery of the world. The creators invite children to a fairy-tale space where many words are not needed to tell a story. At the center of this remarkable journey is the Great Stork. It is enough to grab him by the neck in order to rise high above the ground together and look at the surrounding world from above.
Images inspired by nature and the daily rhythm of the countryside appear on the scene- endless fields, hay, grain, damp earth and sounds that allow you to feel the atmosphere of the rural landscape. “Klekot” is a performance that is not based on the word. Actresses connect with small viewers through gesture, movement, sound and music, allowing children to independently observe, experience and react to what is happening around them. Thanks to this, the theater becomes more than a watched performance - it becomes a meeting and a shared experience. It is contact with the little ones that is one of the most important elements of the show. The creators focus on intimacy and closeness, which is why children are as close as possible to the actresses and the theatrical world. There is no need to build a distance between the stage and the audience here - on the contrary, small spectators are invited to a space where they can feel part of the event.
After the end of the approximately 30-minute performance, children can stay in his world a little longer. About 15 minutes of sensory fun await them, which allows them to continue the encounter with the theater through experience and fun.
“Klekot” is a proposal for those who want to show the child the theater as a space of closeness, discovery and experience. This is the first theatrical journey, during which it is not necessary to understand or name everything. It is enough to look, listen, touch, observe and allow yourself to be delighted. The performance was prepared by the Three Dots Theatre, operating in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Centre in Bydgoszcz. The team is made up of employees of the Artistic Department of the KPCK, who create intimate performances both in a live plan and with the use of dolls. Their performances are created with the aim of developing the contact of the youngest with theatrical art and are based on author's scripts. “Klekot” is an invitation to a world where nature meets theater, and an ordinary rural day becomes a sensual tale.
