Climacteric... and already

The performance “Climax... and already” is a pleasant evening with the babes and for the bab, and its leading theme is the word that is not pronounced every day. Four friends, having met in a boutique run by one of them, turn the sensitive issue of menopause into songs and dances. They sing about the ailments that bother them to well-known melodies, for example, about hot flashes to the notes of the song “Cuba, an island like a volcano”.

The protagonists of the musical are four women of “menopausal” age. They all have problems that they have to deal with. We want to show that menopause is inscribed in the life of a woman - the heroines performing on stage have it, but also the women sitting in the audience - have had, have or will have it. This is a difficult time for a woman, which does not mean at all hopeless. It is important to be aware of the commonality of certain experiences — women sitting in the audience learn that their ailments are not something special. Although menopause affects all women, it is a shameful topic, and therefore carefully overlooked. Through the performance we want to illustrate, in an understandable, accessible and humorous way, how it can be dealt with in different ways. Some heroines want to undergo hormone replacement therapy, others are afraid of it and choose herbal medicine, still others go in the direction of yoga or gymnastic exercises.

Art is supposed to show these different behaviors, but always in a humorous way — especially since humor itself is an excellent remedy (without side effects). Laughing makes it easier to endure adversity.
