Clinic for Things: Meeting with a Painting Conservator

During the classes, participants will have the opportunity to look at selected paintings from the collection of the Museum of Krakow from the perspective of a conservator. We will present the painting techniques and substrates used by the artists. We will approximate the differences that exist between watercolor, gouache, painting made in oil and acrylic technique. We will tell you what the process of their creation looked like and what problems are currently associated with them. We will also present materials and conservation tools used on a daily basis. At the end of the course, advice and consultations for students in the field of painting conservation.
