We invite you to walk around Nowa Praga following the traces of murals and other artistic activities in the city space. We will look at selected realizations and talk about what they can say about the place, its inhabitants and local stories. We will be accompanied by Dorota Cieślik — Miss Dorys, Prague street-art artist, educator, who will talk about the local scene, her work and experiences related to working in the area of the district.
We will consider how murals and other realizations influence the way we perceive our immediate surroundings, and what functions they can perform — from commenting on reality and commemorating events to artistic and social activities. The walk will also be an opportunity to talk about the possibilities of using urban projects in work with students. We will look for ideas on how to talk about history, local identity, art and the immediate environment through art in public space.
The Teachers' Club is for a meeting of teachers who combine visiting exhibitions, workshops and talks about the heritage of Warsaw with exchange of experiences and inspirations for teaching work.
