Knitting (CA)

Doors: 19:00

knitting is a guitar-driven indie rock band consisting of Mischa Dempsey, Sarah Harris and Andy Mulcair. The band springs from Montreal's DIY scene, where they filter lyrical introspection through a distorted slacker-rock perspective. With their debut album 'Some Kind of Heaven' from 2024, Knitting introduced their flimsy and raucous blend of indie rock that evokes memories of 90s alternative rock bands. It led to comparisons with everything from DIIV to Hole and Alex G. The release resonated widely, spending five weeks at number one on the Canadian campus radio charts, being featured by Pitchfork, The FADER and Stereogum (Bands To Watch, Best New Artists 2024), and bringing knitting to festivals such as SXSW, as well as touring Canada, the United States, the UK and Europe.

Between the concerts, Knitting wrote, recorded and produced their second album, 'Souvenir'. Released in June 2026 on Mint Records, the album is an introspective and at times deeply existential album that examines what we take with us through life. Each song is like opening a casket and looking into a particular memory -- a whole world of emotions gathered in just a few moments.
