Woman disappointed

“This is the poignant story of a woman whose marriage is going through a deep crisis, since Monika finds out that her husband is having an affair. Trying to understand the reason for the betrayal of her husband, she looks for guilt in her own actions. Despite fear and anxiety, she does not give up and struggles to rebuild herself. The heroine hopes that this is a momentary fascination. However, disappointment awaits her. The husband's adventure takes on the characteristics of permanence, and the attractive rival gradually takes the place of Monica in Maurycy's life.

The original piece is in the form of a diary and naturally provoked me to give it the shape of a stage statement. This is undoubtedly attractive acting material for the two actors, because that is how I imagined this performance, which is supposed to be an insightful psychological study of a betrayed woman. Women helpless in the face of drastic change, in a seemingly orderly life. The structure and at the same time the plot of my “Disappointed Woman” is based on the relationship of one man with another man. Life is a relationship, a story of relationships. And we want to talk about life in the context of human relationships. And from the perspective of a betrayed being (...)”
