As part of the first screening of the Ćma Collective in Poznań, organized together with the Palace Cinema, we will show some of the most important films of the American's work. From early works in which Brakhage worked only with the camera and editing, to those created by direct painting on film tape. These are films full of abstract forms, which at their source are a meditation on the image and its meaning. The program will culminate in a five-part screening of the 80-minute Dog Star Man cycle, one of Brakhage's most complex and acclaimed works.
