About the event

Where the Sun Beats, and the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter, the Cricket No Relief, and the Dry Stone No Sound of Water. — T.S. Eliott, The Waste Land

“There is a type of beauty that doesn't matter to you. Its light is absolute, the heat is severe. She was here before you were there and stays after you left. This beauty does not give way to anyone. A landscape that continues to unfold. A sky with nothing below it. The sun that rises whether you're ready or not, whether you slept or not, whether something broke last night that you don't have words for yet. ”

According to the 13-member young Berlin collective UNREST, which exposes its audience to the open with this concert: Ádám Bajnok's “Piknik II (Piknik II)” begins where the comprehensible ends — where seven instruments and electronics slide into each other, the ground sways under their feet and beauty and danger can no longer be separated. In “Dried Roses, Street Lights and Wet Curtains” by Beltrán González', this becomes a journey through the desert, in which the heat slowly makes two people — and everything they carry with them — merge together as the landscape outside the window replaces what was between them. Ilona Perger's “Mycelia” concludes the evening with a question that was in the room right from the start: not whether something is found, but what it means to search.

Do you think we will find something?
