Communication and Baby Signs

Maternity WorkshopFor pregnant women and their partner, as well as the 0-year-olds and their adults.

It is wonderful and motivating for your child to be understood from time to time! And it's a gift for you to get an insight into your baby's thinking world. Before your child can speak, figuring out what it's trying to tell is often a guessing game.

It's actually possible to communicate with your child before they can speak — while stimulating the child's language development. With the use of words, audio play, rhythm and baby signs, you can stimulate your child's communication with the outside world. You'll get tools to better understand your child's spontaneous signals — including hernia ☺. We also briefly touch on factors that can delay a child's language development. Along the way we pepper the lecture with a single song play & a somersault or two.

During the lecture, you can freely switch between sitting on a chair or on a carpet/yoga mat with your baby. Diaper changes as well as breastfeeding/bottle giving & baby noises are allowed along the way. After the lesson, notes will be sent by mail to those interested.

Marianne is the author of the book After Childbirth — Training and Baby Play.

Teaching is in Danish, but questions in English are welcome. Everyone is welcome to participate.

If you're hungry, you can buy a home-baked bun in Café Mors Warm Hands from 10am, or stay for lunch from 12pm.
