“Children's Symphony — Concerts for Small and Large Music Lovers” is an interdisciplinary project that includes a concert of classical music, an interactive music lesson led by an animator and workshops on playing percussion instruments.

The project aims to enrich the education system through an artistic and educational undertaking. The canvas of the project is a concert composed of short, carefully selected pieces of classical music performed by a string quintet and two soloists (flet, clarinet) and percussion instruments.

The concert is interspersed with a talk by the animator (Ms. Nutka), who through short stories and questions asked to the listeners draws them into the interaction. The listeners together with the animator, in the interaction of the musicians, become aware of what music is, since when it accompanies a person, what role it plays in his life, who is a composer, a conductor, and who is an instrumentalist musician. They will also learn the basic musical instruments, as well as get acquainted with the basic concepts used in music such as musical form, dynamics and articulation.

The project has a wide educational dimension — it allows you to listen to outstanding musical works from different eras, gives an opportunity to learn about the history of their creation, gets acquainted with the silhouettes of composers and sometimes in which they worked, presents musical instruments that are the basis of the symphony orchestra. The knowledge gained during an interactive music lesson is intended to make this field of art more understandable and accessible.

The culmination of the project is participation in short workshops on simple percussion instruments (maracas, triangel, snare, acoustic box, tambourine) and a joint performance with the musicians of a fragment of “Children's Symphony” by Józef Haydn. The project is addressed mainly to children of preschool and school age, but also to their caregivers who came with them to the concert, parents and grandparents.

The project encourages the search for personal contact with music and builds the competence of cultural recipients among young listeners. Thanks to its casual and friendly formula, it is an excellent form of leisure for whole families and peer groups.

The performers of the concert are members of the ARSO Ensemble formed by professional musicians, concert masters, members of the symphony orchestra of the Podkarpackie Philharmonic as well as experienced chamber musicians. They are: Robert Naccizewski, Orest Telkach, Urszula Ostrouch, Anna Naścizewska, Sławomir Ujek. Musicians actively perform their profession, performing in Poland and abroad, taking part in important artistic events and festivals, recording albums. Each of the artists has a higher musical education (completed music studies, a master's degree in art, in some cases postgraduate studies) as well as a pedagogical education. The band has many chamber concerts in Poland and abroad, participated in many festivals, as well as carried out educational and promotional activities for classical music. The concert will also be attended by invited soloists: Jagoda Pietrusiak — Kasprzyk (flet), Maciej Zeszut (clarinet) and Jacek Rzym (orchestral bells, percussion instruments). The animator of the concert is Anna Podścielna — Cyz.
