QuartOS is a chamber ensemble made up of four extraordinary musical personalities: Mateusz Kubański, Malwina Mikołajczak-Lutrzykowska, Michał Rak and Piotr Skruszewicz. The result of their collaboration is a fascinating composition of sounds, virtuosity
and musical experience and, above all, an unquenchable passion for music.
The foundation of the ensemble consists of four instruments: oboe, violin, viola and cello, which harmoniously combine their sounds, presenting an unforgettable musical experience.
The ensemble is composed of graduates of national and foreign music universities, and their joint work in the Toruń Symphony Orchestra testifies to high skills, artistic maturity, and allows for regular cooperation with outstanding soloists and conductors. During the “Dialogi” Festival in Ozorków they will perform with the accompaniment of the outstanding soprano Małgorzata Krajewska — graduate of the Master's studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz at the Faculty of Vocal and Acting, in the class of solo singing prof. dr hab. Katarzyna Rymarczyk, laureate of 3rd place at the International The Ars et Gloria Solo Sacred Vocal Competition in Katowice.

Mateusz Kubański — a graduate of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, in the oboe class of Prof. Mieczysław Koczorowski, which he graduated in 2003 with distinction and entry in the Golden Book of the University. Doctor of Musical Arts (2013). Multiple scholarship holder of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and the Municipal Office in Toruń in the field of culture. Participant of many renowned music events, festivals and concerts. He performs with various orchestras and ensembles, participating in concerts throughout the country, as well as touring abroad in many European countries including Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia, Macedonia, as well as Chile, Japan and South Korea. He has also participated in numerous recordings, radio and television music productions in many musical genres such as rock, pop, blues, song poetry, film music and of course the so-called “classical” music. He is an oboist performing solo concerts, chamber music, as well as recitals accompanied by piano or harpsichord. As an orchestral musician, he is permanently associated with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra (oboist — soloist) and previously with the Warmia — Mazury Philharmonic Orchestra in Olsztyn and the Polish Philharmonic Sinfonia Baltica in Słupsk. In 2013 I defended my doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Tomasz Gubański at the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. In 2013, his solo album “Balcan Inpressions for oboe and piano” was released (below are sample links to recordings from the album posted on YouTube channel). In 2024, he received the Marshal's Award of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship for “invaluable contribution to the development of the musical life of the region”. Since 2026 he has been teaching an oboe class at the Karol Szymanowski Music School Complex in Toruń.
Malwina Mikołajczak-Lutrzykowska — Doctor of Musical Arts. A graduate of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the class of Prof. Paweł Radziński (master's studies) and the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk in the class of Prof. Małgorzata Skorupa (doctoral studies). She took part in numerous music courses under the supervision of such professors as: Viktor Pikajzen, Bartosz Bryła, Marcin Baranowski, Maciej Rakowski, Sławomir Tomasik. She has performed in Poland and abroad as a chamber musician and orchestral musician. Multiple scholarship holder of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, the Mayor of the City of Bydgoszcz and the President of the City of Inowrocław. In addition to Quartos, she is a member of the ArtON Quartet — Bydgoszcz String Quartet and co-creates the Vio-dion Duo ensemble with accordionist Krzysztof Lutrzykowski. The duo won the highest laurels at competitions in Canada, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Poland and Lithuania. Professionally associated with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra and the Karol Szymanowski Music School Ensemble in Toruń, where in recognition of her achievements she received awards from the Directors of both institutions.
Michał Rak — violinist, orchestral musician. He graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg (Germany) in the viola class with Prof. Reiner Schmidt, where he studied from 2005 to 2010. Since 2019 he has been associated with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, where he works as a soloist musician and as an orchestra inspector. In 2013 he founded the string quartet RAFFA Quartet, with which he actively concerts and promotes chamber music by implementing various artistic projects in the field of chamber music. In 2022 he received the Artistic Scholarship of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. In the years 2010 — 2018 he was a soloist in the orchestra of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz. In 2009, he participated in the Erasmus exchange at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, where he studied with Prof. Lech Bałaban. He has collaborated with Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, Neuephilharmonie Frankfurt, Mainphilharmonie Würzburg and Bayerische Kammeroper Veitshöchheim, among others. In 2010 he received the 2nd prize and the special prize at the chamber music competition “Wolfgang Fischer Und Maria Fischer-Flach-Stiftung” in Würzburg. He participated in master classes with professors such as Rainer Moog, Grigori Zhislin, Friedemann Eichhorn, Lech Bałaban and chamber music courses with Voces-Quartett and Juilliard-String-Quartett. He has worked with such musicians as Herwig Zack, Max Speermann, Orfeo Mandozzi and conductors: Mariss Janson, Jin Wang, Yuuko Amanuma, Roland Boer.
Piotr Skruszewicz — cellist and pedagogue. Born in 1985 in a musical family. He graduated from the Arthur Rubinstein High School of Music in Bydgoszcz. Graduated from the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź in the cello class of Prof. Agata Jarecka, PhD. Participant of many cello courses. As a chamber musician, he actively concerts in Poland and abroad, collaborating with bands from the Pomerania and Kuyava region. Since 2009, cellist of the Toruń Symphony Orchestra. He is also professionally associated with the Ensemble of State Music Schools in Gniezno and the Music School in Nakle nad Notecią.
Małgorzata Krajewska — soprano, graduate of master's studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz at the Faculty of Vocal and Acting, in the class of solo singing prof. dr hab. Katarzyna Rymarczyk. She is the winner of the 3rd place at the International Solo Competition of Sacred Singing Ars et Gloria in Katowice. While still studying, she sang on the stage of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz the part of Susanna from the opera The Marriage of Figar by W. A. Mozart and the part of Adela from the operetta Revenge of the Bat by J. Strauss. He collaborates with the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz, singing many times under the direction of Michał Dworzyński. In March 2024, she performed the soprano part from the Coronation Mass in C major by W. A. Mozart under the direction of Jan Miłosz Zarzycki. In September 2025 she made her debut on the stage of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz with the part of Adela from J. Strauss's operetta Revenge of the Bat under the direction of Maciej Figas. Another debut took place in January of this year, she sang the part of Susanna from the opera The Marriage of Figar by W. A. Mozart conducted by Piotr Wajrak. Since 2022 he has been collaborating with the Moderato Salon Orchestra under the direction of Orlin Bebenov. In the spring of this year, she also started cooperation with the Princess- Tomczyk Art Orchestra. In the concert repertoire she has a wide range of oratoric-cantata works as well as operatic, operetta and musical arias.
