Hani Derej Trio concert | Themerson Festival

As part of this year's Themerson Festival, we invite you to a unique concert of the Hani Derej Trio

Hania Derej is a composer, pianist, arranger and conductor, as well as a student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (jazz composition and arrangement) and the Academy of Music in Krakow (symphonic conducting). She is the author of more than 120 compositions, some of which have been recorded on nine discs, including in the recording studio of Polish Radio in Katowice. She was awarded many times, and in July 2025 she became the winner of the Grand Prix Ladies' Jazz Festival in Gdynia and the Audience Award.

The artist conducts intensive concert activity in Poland and abroad as part of various projects and instrumental ensembles (in Poland, among others, Pol'and'Rock Festival, OFF Festival, Men's Play and others). In the JAZZTOP2024 survey of music critics of the international magazine JAZZFORUM, Hania Derej won first place in the category “New Hope” and fifth place in the category “New Hope — Band” as Hania Derej Quintet. In April 2025, Hania won a distinction in the national Competition “Young Promoter of Poland”, aimed at young Poles whose activities contribute to popularizing knowledge about Poland and building its positive image in the world.

At the beginning of September, the premiere of a new single - September, which promotes the artist's more recent album.
