About the event

Can jazz kidnap children? Definitely yes!

We invite you to a concert during which music will become a joint adventure. Together with Piotr Baron — one of the most outstanding Polish saxophonists — Jazz for Children Quartet will take young and old listeners to the world of improvisation, rhythm and fun.

It will be a meeting full of sounds that awaken the imagination. Whether this is your first contact with jazz or you already know the genre well, you are waiting for a concert that connects generations and proves that music knows no age.

“Jazz For Children”, thisevent of a family nature, addressed to children of preschool age (and not only!). We will show you that “jazz does not bite”!

The concert consists of 10 songs and world jazz standards, among others from the repertoire of Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, George Gershwin, with Polish adaptations of texts by Magdalena Este for children and arrangements by Michał Tokaj. Five songs from the album “Jazz Dla Dzieci” are available on streaming services, including the song “Potatoes from the pack” in which Piotr Baron guest starred. A music video available on YT was also recorded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ki8t1bpZg & list=rd4ki8t1bpz-g&start_radio=1

The project “Jazz for children” was born as a series of musical workshops conducted by the EuroJazz Foundation introducing preschool children to jazz music and jazz instruments. Since 2021, more than 400 classes have been held, and leading Polish jazz musicians took part in them. Since 2024, the Jazz Dla Dzieci Quartet has been touring all over Poland with a special guest. So far, dozens of concerts have been held. In 2026, the project won the Residents Award of the S3KTOR Competition for the best non-governmental initiative in Warsaw.
