On this pre-Christmas evening, two ensembles of our institution will meet on one stage — the Children's Choir conducted by Aleksandra Borowiecka and the Cantores Varmienses Choir conducted by Sebastian Stachura. The piano will be accompanied by Agnieszka Żabińska.
The concert program is planned in three stylistically differentiated parts. The event will open with a performance of the youngest artists who will perform warm pastoral songs and contemporary Christmas songs. In the second part of the evening, the Cantores Varmienses Choir will present multi-part elaborations of traditional Polish carols and classical works of ancient sacred music. At the end, in which both bands will sound together, we will hear, among others, the dignified Medieval Gloria, dynamic, traditional Gaudete, Silent Night and the elaboration of a traditional Christmas carol from our region specially prepared for this event.

Sebastian Stachura (born 1996) — conductor, organist and singer. He graduated with honors in two specialties: church music (first-cycle studies) in the organ class of Prof. Andrzej Szadejko and choral conducting (second-cycle studies) in the class of Prof. Anna Fiebig at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
He was repeatedly awarded the Rector's scholarship for the best students, and in the academic year 2020/2021 — while still studying — he was entrusted with leading the Female Choir “Gaudium per Canto” of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. As an outstanding student, he was also delegated to represent the university at the XVIII National Competition of Choral Conductors named after Prof. Stanisław Kulczyński in Poznań, which was ultimately not held due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As a choirist, he has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Polish National Youth Choir and as a project with the Choir of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, performing on prestigious stages in Poland and abroad — among others in the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Teatr Wielki — the National Opera, the concert hall of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Radio in Katowice, as well as in the Berlin and Cologne Philharmonic. As part of his additional activities as a chorister, he performed in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Malta and South Korea, among others.
Founder and first conductor of the mixed choir Crux Fidelis at the parish of the Holy Cross in Gdańsko-Wrzeszcz, with whom he won, among others, a distinction at the 6th National Festival of Religious Songs “Pater Noster” in Strzepcz. Since September 2026 he has been the conductor of the Cantores Varmienses Choir at the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic in Olsztyn.
