Concert of the Song Laboratory

Laboratorium Piesni - the premiere of the SEPTEM album

We invite you to a concert tour celebrating the premiere of the upcoming album by Laboratorium Pieśni entitled SEPTEM!

The Song Laboratory concerts are a journey through the multicolored world of polyvoices. The band's concert will feature original arrangements of traditional polyphonic songs, including Slavic, Balkan, Baltic and many others, as well as their own, laboratory compositions.

The songs are performed both a capella and to the accompaniment of shamanic drums and other ethnic instruments, such as shruti box, flutes, bells, jammers. The songs in the arrangements of the band combine ancient tradition with multi-voice improvisation, the intimacy of sounds and harmony with the wild expression of lively female voices in intuitive compositions, often inspired by nature, para-theatrical elements.

Artists about SEPTEM:

There are seven of us. Seven melodies, seven songs about the world. The number seven represents perfection, fullness, holiness, and cosmic order. In many cultures, it was considered a mystical symbol, connecting heaven with earth, denoting the cycle of creation, time and spiritual depth. In numerology, the seven symbolizes the search for truth, intuition, indicates a sage who is looking for deeper meaning and truth.

We carry with us the memory of the stars, the constellations of the sky. We carry human stories that, like nature, are flowing rivers, blowing winds, erupting volcanoes and burning fire. We continue to travel together on the same Earth to sing songs in which the alchemy of the elements is intertwined with the simple, everyday, which is the Way of each of us.

Life has taken us to the place where we celebrate our new record “Septem” - from the Latin “seven”. Latin as an ancient language - like songs - evokes echoes of ancient tales and universal stories that unite us on many levels.

The album is the fruit of our journey together for more than ten years. Journey - a journey in which each of us brings our unique gift to the totality of the Song that we are.
