SANTA CONCERT

December is a time of waiting, meetings and a special atmosphere.

The Santa Claus Concert of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot will be an opportunity to experience music together, which delights both the youngest listeners and adults!

The program included two works of a completely different nature. Benjamin Britten's Simple Symphony Op. 4 is a composition full of energy, humor and musical finesse, in which the simplicity of the themes meets the mastery of the orchestral elaboration.

The highlight of the evening will be “Peter and the Wolf” Op. 67 by Sergius Prokofiev — one of the most famous musical fairy tales in history. Each of the characters in the story receives its own distinctive instrument and musical theme, thanks to which the orchestra becomes not only an illustration of the story, but also its full-fledged narrator.

Full of expressive melodies, colours and musical characters, the story of Peter, his adventures and his encounter with the Wolf introduces children to the fascinating world of the symphony orchestra for generations. It is a concert that allows the youngest to discover music through story, imagination and emotions.
