Already on October 11, 2026, at 18.00 in the Church of St. Joseph in Ozorków, on the stage of the 11th National Music Festival “Dialogi”, two outstanding musical personalities will meet to take us on a journey through different eras and styles — from the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, through the compositions of Krzysztof Komeda, Astor Piazzolla, Benn Ny Golson and Guy Wood, right down to concert stunners.
We will be hosting: Dawid Lubowicz — an excellent violinist, mandolinist and composer, an artist with extraordinary musical versatility, freely moving between different musical genres. Co-creator and member of esteemed ensembles, including Atom String Quartet, Bester Quartet and Opium String Quartet, winner of numerous awards and nominations for Fryderyk. He performs on the most important stages of the world, collaborating with outstanding artists, and since 2020 he leads a jazz violin class at the UMCS in Lublin and Prof. Dr. Jan Bokszczanin — an outstanding organist, professor of musical arts and esteemed educator of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. The artist has over a thousand concerts, among others in Europe, Asia, Russia and the United States. He has performed at Notre Dame de Paris, the cathedrals of Lausanne, Bruges and Freiberg, and in prestigious concert halls of the USA and China. He is also the author and editor of numerous publications, has recorded more than twenty CDs and made more than fifty premieres of organ and chamber works.
Prof. Jan Bokszczanin — organist, professor of musical arts, teacher of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and Bialystok (organ).
In 2000 he graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in the class of Prof. Joachim Grubich. In later years he was a doctoral fellow at the University of North Texas (USA), where he studied under Professor Jesse E. Eschbach.
He performs in most European countries, in Russia, Asia (China, Azerbaijan) and in the USA (in total he has more than a thousand solo and chamber concerts to his credit).
He has performed organ recitals in such prestigious places as: Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, Lausanne Cathedral, Freiberg Cathedral, Bruges Cathedral, University Chappell in Glasgow, Catholic Cathedral in Moscow, Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas (USA) and Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, where on November 11, 2018 he performed a concert in the set The anniversary of Poland regaining independence.
In 2024, he performed two concerts at the prestigious Gulangyu Music Festival in China on Asia's largest organ.
The artist has also performed more than 50 solo organ recitals presented in philharmonic and concert halls, among others in Belarus, China, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Romania and the USA.
Jan Bokszczanin has recorded more than twenty CDs with organ music for renowned record labels, and in 2012 his monograph “Main Trends of Russian and Soviet Organ Music” was published by Polihymnia.
In the same publishing house, under his editorship, seven notebooks with works by Marian Sawa were published. In addition, he collected and prepared for printing a 12-volume anthology — Masterpieces of Organ Music, which is a kind of collection of Renaissance and Baroque organ music from different centers of Europe.
Many contemporary composers have written for him, including: Paul Ayres, Miłosz Bembinow, Carson Cooman, Krzesimir Dębski, Alicja Gronau-Osińska, Paweł Łukaszewski, Thierry Pallesco, Dariusz Przybylski, Weronika Ratusińska, Marian Sawa, Piotr Tabakiernik, Piotr Wróbel and Ignacy Zalewski. Marian Sawa dedicated eleven songs to him.
The artist has made more than fifty premieres of organ and chamber works.
Jan Bokszczanin is also the organizer of musical life — artistic director of the Legionów Festival of Chamber and Organ Music and other concert cycles.
He has taught numerous master classes in countries such as China, Italy, Spain (as part of the Erasmus+ program), Russia and Belarus. He has repeatedly been a member of the jury of various international and national organ competitions.
Prof. Jan Bokszczanin teaches organ classes at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and at the UMFC branch library. In the years 2016-2020 he served as vice-dean at the University.
He is also an organ teacher at the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School in Sochaczew.
In 2019, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage awarded him the honorary badge “Meritorious for Polish Culture”, and in 2024 the bronze medal “Gloria Artis”.

Co-founder and member of numerous teams, including groups
characterized by such different stylistics as AlTango, Opium String Quartet, Atom String
Quartet or Bester Quartet, successful and widely recognized in Polish and
the international music scene.
As a composer, he enriched the repertoire of many musical ensembles. He is also a contributor
the hugely popular musical Pilots, performed several hundred times on stage
Roma Music Theatre in Warsaw. The musical layer of the show not only survived
permanent registration, but also obtained the status of a gold and platinum record successively.
His compositions were also distinguished, among others, with the 4th prize in an international competition
Composer Crossover Composition Award in Mannheim, Germany (for duet
violin Carpathian, which was subsequently released by Peermusic).
He participated in the realization of several dozen albums, both in the role of guest and co-creator, or
leader. A significant part of the publications met with enthusiasm from the public and critics, which
expression of numerous nominations and awards in the most prestigious competition of Polish industry
musical Fryderyka — nominations for Back To Melody (Opium String Quartet) and Nica's
Dream (Nika Lubowicz), as well as statuettes for the albums Fade In and Places (Atom String Quartet), as
also Made in Poland and Supernova (Atom String Quartet together with NFM Orchestra
Leopoldinum).
In 2018, he formed the original Dawid Lubowicz Quartet, to which the greatest
Success is the recording of the album Inside. The album received a nomination in Fryderyka's plebiscite
2019 (in the Jazz Album of the Year category), as well as the group leader himself (in the Jazz Debut of the Year category).
In 2022, he recorded in a duet with Christian Danowicz the album Stories, which contains the author's
compositions created for two violins. These songs were also released in sheet music and are
available in the publishing market.
In 2024, he released his third solo album Human Fate, on which he performs in a double role:
violinist and mandolin player.
For many years he has collaborated as an arranger and composer with, among others, the Roma Music Theatre and the Theatre
National Theatre in Warsaw, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz and D. Baduszkowa Musical Theatre
in Gdynia.
He regularly performs on major stages all over the world, performing with notable
artists. Of the many fascinating musical endeavors, the most cherished
meetings on stage with such artists as Bobby McFerrin, Branford Marsalis, Leszek Możdżer,
Lars Danielsson, Zohar Fresco, Paolo Fresu, Mino Cinelu, Anna Maria Jopek, Olga Pasiecznik,
Grażyna Auguścik, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Janusz Olejniczak and Władysław Sendecki.
Since 2020 he has been leading a jazz violin class in the direction of Jazz and Pop Music
Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
