In 2026, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Morton Feldman, one of the most important composers of the American avant-garde of the 20th century. During the concert, his composition For Christian Wolff will be performed by Emilia Karolina Sitarz (keyboards) and Eva Liebchen (flutes).
Feldman's songs can last for hours, and the sounds return in them slowly, each time a little differently. It is music that does not demand our constant attention. Rather, it invites you to stop, rest and listen in your own rhythm.
This will not be an ordinary concert. And that's what it's all about.
Instead of rigidly set rules, freedom. Instead of another evening full of stimuli, three and a half hours of calm. Feldman's music is reminiscent of clouds moving slowly across the sky. It is not necessary to be familiar with contemporary music or to understand compositional experiments. All you have to do is come.
In a world that constantly demands our attention, a few hours of doing nothing can turn out to be a real luxury.
Take a bedding, a pillow, a blanket and a thermos with tea. Come alone or with someone close to you. You can stay for the whole concert or drop by for a while. Here you really do not need to prove anything. Even if you listen carefully.
