New Year's Concert

We will start the new year at the Lublin Philharmonic in the rhythm of waltz, czardash, gallop and operetta hit. The program of New Year's Concerts combines Viennese music, the most beautiful arias and operetta duets, spectacular orchestral miniatures and popular musical and stage melodies.

We will hear the music of Johann Strauss, Emmerich Kálmán, Franz von Suppé, Franz Lehár and Jacques Offenbach — creators without whom it is difficult to imagine the carnival atmosphere of the beginning of the year. There will be a waltz of the Rose of the South, an overture to the Light Cavalry, fragments of The Wizard Princess, Countess Marica, Revenge of the Bat and Merry Widow. There will also be the famous Vienna, the city of my dreams, the temperamental Granada, the virtuoso Tico-Tico or the spectacular Bugler's Holiday.

The program will guide the audience from the elegance of Viennese ballrooms, through the world of operetta and musical, to music full of southern temperament and rhythmic energy. The evening will end with works belonging to the most recognizable items of the new year's repertoire — Usta silcze from The Merry Widow and The March of Radetzky by Johann Strauss I.

Paulina Janczaruk — soprano and Łukasz Ratajczak — tenor — will perform on stage, accompanied by the Lublin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ruben Silva.

Two evenings filled with brilliant humor, musical magic and carnival elegance — in the atmosphere of the most famous New Year's galas.
