NEW YEAR'S CONCERT — PREMIERE — From Vienna to Broadway to Hollywood

The Podkarpackie Philharmonic will host the premiere performance of the concert project “From Vienna to Broadway to Hollywood”.

The program of the evening was conceived as a musical journey that takes the audience through three different worlds — from the elegance of the Viennese operetta, through the musical repertoire, to film music and the sound of the big screen.

The first part of the concert will refer to the atmosphere of Vienna and the tradition of New Year's concerts. Then the show will take the audience to the world of Broadway and musical theater, and in the final installment will reach the repertoire related to cinema and Hollywood.

Michał Grobelny, Sylwia Grobelna, Aleksander Kruczek and Milena Sołtys-Walosik will perform on stage.

Michał Grobelny — singer, pianist and musical actor, semi-finalist of the program “The Voice of Poland” and participant of “Your Face Sounds Familiar”. He appeared as Quasimodo in the worldwide production of “Notre Dame de Paris” and Jesus in the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”.

Sylwia Grobelna — vocalist associated with Accantus Studio, the program “Twoja Trzmi Brzmi Znajomo” and musical projects related to the Disney repertoire.

Aleksander Kruczek — lyrical tenor, laureate of national and international vocal competitions and winner of the Grand Tournament of Tenors in Szczecin. He performed, among others, on the stages of the Grand Theatre — the National Opera, the Silesian Opera, the Grand Theatre in Łódź and the Warsaw Chamber Opera.

Milena Sołtys-Walosik — soprano of the young generation, winner of 1st place in the III National Vocal Competition named after Władysław Żeleński. In 2025 she made her debut on the stage of the Krakow Opera in the main role of the Marquise in the opera “The First Wrinkle”.

The soloists will be accompanied by Sinfonia Carpathia — an orchestra operating since 2018, created by graduates of Polish and foreign music universities, soloists, chamber musicians and winners of competitions. The repertoire of the band includes both classical and contemporary music, as well as film and entertainment music.

The musical direction and arrangements are led by Wojciech Zwierniak — conductor, arranger, composer and pianist, a graduate of the Faculty of Jazz and Entertainment Music of the Academy of Music in Katowice. His experience, jazz sensitivity and ability to creatively develop a well-known repertoire are one of the most important elements of the project.

Specially prepared arrangements are intended to combine three stylistically different parts of the concert into one coherent musical story.

Vienna will be the beginning of this journey.

Broadway is the next chapter.

Hollywood is the final.
