This is the sixth and final organ concert at the St John's Centre this year. This year's cycle “Carnival Organ Concerts” will be a symbolic circle — we started it on January 10 with the “Carnival Organ Concert” with the participation of Dr. Renate Stivriņa, and we end with a surprise concert.

Three artists working in the Tri-City will meet on stage: organist and composer Dr. Renate Stivriņa, harpist Urszula Hazuk and singer Emilia Osowska — mezzo-soprano.

In the program: Claude Debussy • Jules Massenet • Giuseppe Verdi • Luciano Berio • Renate Stivriņa

The concert will be a musical meeting of different personalities, sounds and artistic experiences — from the organ, through the harp, to the voice.

dr Renate Stivriņa — organ (Gdańsk/Riga)

A graduate of the Academy of Music in Riga, Doctor of Musical Arts in composition from the Academy of Music in Cracow, where she also obtained a master's degree in organ playing. She also completed postgraduate studies in film music, theatre and audiovisual art at the L. Schiller Film and Theatre School in Łódź.

He is a member of the Latvian Composers' Association. As a performer, she is interested in the music of different eras, with a special focus on contemporary music. She is the author of more than 100 opuses, including vocal-instrumental, symphonic, choral, animation music and compositions for organs and with the participation of organs.

In 2022, during the “Warsaw Autumn” Festival, she received the prize of the Union of Polish Composers. She is currently an organist in the parish of St. Anthony in Gdynia and a curator of organs at the St. John's Center in Gdańsk.

Urszula Hazuka — harp

A graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where she graduated from the harp class of Dr. Anna Sikorzak-Olek. For more than 18 years she has been developing her artistic activity as a harpist.

She has collaborated with, among others, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Polish Philharmonic Sinfonia Baltica, the Baltic Youth Philharmonic, the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot, the Baltic Opera and the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz, where She also performed as a soloist.

She honed her skills during master classes conducted by, among others, Anneleen Lenaerts, Helga Storck and Alexander Boldacheva. He actively participates in the musical life of Pomerania, performing in symphony concerts, chamber concerts and artistic projects.

Emilia Osowska — mezzo-soprano

Artist and singer, winner of international vocal competitions. Co-founder and member of the Les Femmes Opera team and president of the “Przystań na Sztuka” Association. Together with Joanna Sobowiec-Jamioł and Natalia Krajewska-Kitowska, she creates and directs concerts and original musical performances.

She has had more than a dozen roles, including Maria in “Girls from Naples”, Anna in “Polish Landscape”, Isabella in “Babski Leci”, Ada in “Little Cinema”, Matilda in “Buy Pan Jam” and Mary the Mother of Jesus in “3 Marys”.

She graduated from the Vocal and Acting Faculty of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk in the class of Prof. Wiesława Maliszewska and Chemical Technology of the Gdańsk University of Technology. She made her debut on the opera stage while still a student, performing parts in the works of Rossini, Puccini and Mozart. In his artistic activity he reaches for a wide spectrum of classical and jazz music.
