It's time for another concert from the “Music in the Museum” series!
Where do we go when we hit the road? What do we leave behind and what do we find at the end of the journey? Is it possible to move away without losing what unites us to our roots?
Rarely combined Polish and French songs, opera arias and piano pieces create a space full of mystery and imagination, in which each listener will find their own answers. From the hectic pulse of the city to the nocturnal contemplation of nature, the concert is conceived as a poetic tale of freedom and the search for a way.
Between France and Poland, pianist Agnieszka Ufniarz and baritone Matthieu Walendzik follow in the footsteps of artists for whom travel and encounter with the other world have become a source of creativity. The echo of the concert enters into a direct dialogue with the collection of the Polish Art Gallery of the National Museum in Poznań, evoking the spirit of freedom that has intertwined the artistic paths of Poland and France for generations, and whose unique embodiment has become the work of Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
