In the beautiful interior of the Fryderyk Concert Hall, lit only by the glow of candles, we will listen to the compositions of Fryderyk Chopin performed by extraordinary artists - outstanding musicians of our time.

The concerts are two-part recitals lasting about 60 minutes, based on the idea of salon musical meetings popular in the 19th century. During the break of the concert we will treat you with a glass of sparkling wine.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the concert.

Maciej Poliszewski is a Polish pianist and long-time teacher of the piano class of the Warsaw University of Music in Warsaw. He began his music education at the age of 6 at the Primary Music School No. 1 in Warsaw, which he continued at the Warsaw State Lyceum of Music. After graduating from the Academy of Music in Warsaw, he honed his skills in the piano class of Professor Vladimir Mierzhanov in Moscow and Professor Mieczysław Munz.

He is a graduate of the famous New York Juilliard School. Professor Maciej Poliszewski is the winner of the first prizes of piano competitions in Poland, including the 1st Piano Competition in Warsaw and Łódź. He is a laureate of the G.B.Viotti International Competition in Vercelli (silver medal, 1973) and the Maria Canals International Competition in Barcelona (silver medal, 1976) As a long-term scholarship holder of the Fryderyk Chopin Society in Warsaw, he has performed at the largest Polish music festivals, including in Duszniki, Słupsk, Gdańsk and Cognition.

With the excellent orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia, he recorded under the baton of the equally legendary Jerzy Maksymiuk, together with Andrzej Ratusiński, the concerto in C minor BWV 1060 and the concerto in C major BWV 1061 by Jan Sebastian Bach. These and many other recordings are in the archive of Polish Radio. Maciej Poliszewski has toured as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Lebanon and the USA.

For many years he has been cooperating with the PRESTO Concert Agency, performing hundreds of Fryderyk Chopin piano recitals. Since April 2019, the venue for these concerts is the Fryderyk Concert Hall.
