In the beautiful interior of the Fryderyk Concert Hall, lit only by the glow of candles, we will listen to the compositions of Fryderyk Chopin performed by extraordinary artists - outstanding musicians of our time.

The concerts are two-part recitals lasting about 60 minutes, based on the idea of salon musical meetings popular in the 19th century. During the break of the concert we will treat you with a glass of sparkling wine.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the concert.

Professor Maria Korecka Soszkowska is an outstanding figure in the world of music, she is a laureate of renowned national and international competitions.

She won:

- 2nd prize in the National Piano Competition named after I. J. Paderewski in Bydgoszcz (1965)

- Honorary Diploma for participation in the 7th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw (1965)

- 1st Prize at the International Competition in St. Moritz (“Moderne Klaviertechnik” 1967)

- I Award for Best Interpretation of Spanish Music in Santiago de Compostella, Spain (1978).

She studied under the guidance of excellent educators: Prof. Janina Stojałowska, Henryk Sztompka and Dieter Weber.

After receiving a diploma with honors from the State Higher School of Music in Krakow, she began an intense concert life.

She has performed with Polish philharmonic orchestras, has toured all over the world as a soloist and chamber musician. He has several hundred piano recitals, symphonic concerts and numerous recordings on record, television and radio, including eight albums with music by Fryderyk Chopin, Józef Elsner or Artur Malawski. Multiple member of the jury of piano competitions (Ukraine, Denmark, Lithuania, Belarus) and initiator of artistic and scientific sessions (2017-2014). Their publications were published by the Piano Department of the Academy of Music in Łódź. Professor of piano class at Bilkent University in Ankara (2007-2014), and since 1992 he has taught piano classes at the Academy of Music in Łódź. In 2006 she received the title of full professor, and in 2007 she was appointed head of the Piano Department at the Academy. In 2012 she was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit, and in 2011 and 2013 the first and second degree awards of the Rector of the Academy of Music in Łódź. In 2017, she was awarded the Gloria Artis silver medal. Since 2019, he has been the president of the S. Moniuszko Warsaw Music Society. Re-appointed to perform this function on 26.02.2024 for the next term. Since 1995 she has been cooperating with the PRESTO Concert Agency.
