New Year's Eve concert

Broadway, jazz, bossa nova, film and pop music have repeatedly drawn on the experience of the symphony orchestra, and their most outstanding positions successfully crossed the boundaries of genres. The program includes selected pieces of entertainment, film, jazz and musical music of the 20th century, showing the stylistic richness of the repertoire that has remained present on concert stages around the world for decades. It featured American standards by George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and Harold Arlen, subtle bossa nova by Antônio Carlos Jobim, songs by Stevie Wonder and Pharrell Williams, and compositions by Krzysztof Komeda. Polish music is also represented by Time teaches us the weather by Krzesimir Dębski and Jacek Cygan, Zielono mi by Agnieszka Osiecka and Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski and On the whole expanse of snow by Jeremi Urzel and Jerzy Wasowski. Symphonic arrangements allow you to look at well-known melodies from a new perspective, bringing out the richness of the orchestra's colors and emphasizing the stylistic diversity of the program.
