There are moments that deserve a special setting. The last night of the year certainly belongs to them. We invite you to a New Year's Eve night in the Theater full of music, elegance, emotions...

with Grażyna Brodzińska as the star of the evening.

Her voice, stage grace and temperament have been delighting audiences for years. Called the first lady of Polish operetta, she is able to charm with subtlety, captivate with energy and make meeting with music a personal experience. With equal freedom he reaches for opera arias, musicals and world hits.

On this special night on the theatre stage, Grażyna Brodzińska will be accompanied by soloists — Ksenia Tomkiewicz and Łukasz Kostka and the Bydgoszcz Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Marek Czekała. The evening will be hosted by Emilia Czekała.

We invite you to celebrate together in a theatrical style — with live music, sweet treats and a moment for conversation during the break of the concert. At midnight with a glass of champagne we will welcome the New Year, make wishes and return to music, already with the first, beautiful memories of 2027.

Grazyna Brodzińska

An admirer of real Italian coffee, Viennese strudel and quince tincture. A collector of recipes that she rarely uses. Charming, obligatory, true soul of the company. She can easily cope with replacing the wheel in the car, as well as with a broken tap, provided that someone else does it 😉 It is not terrible for her to swim with sharks, if it is a transatlantic cruise, but she is terribly afraid of mice! Thoughtful? Not necessarily...

Always smiling. She loves people, animals, long distance travel, romantic sunrises and sunsets. She enjoys every little thing and, like any woman, loves to receive flowers and go shopping. In others, he values sincerity and straightforwardness the most.

Ksenia Tomkiewicz — classical and musical singer, graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow. She has collaborated with, among others, the Cracow Opera, the Cracow Variety Theater, the Poznan Music Theater and the Cracow Singers, with whom she performed alongside Stanisław Soyka. It combines classic preparation with acting freedom, stage energy and excellent contact with the audience. Her repertoire includes operetta, musical, Polish retro, tango and French and Italian music. In 2026 she received the “Golden Leaf” award of the XXIII Mieczysław Fogg National Retro Song Festival for the series of music programs “Fogg — the Warsaw Singer”.

Łukasz Kostka — finds himself with equal freedom in the world of opera, theater and chamber recitals. He gives concerts accompanied by orchestras and piano, performing in Poland and abroad. Winner of vocal competitions, he has collaborated with many people (institutions) from the world of music and theater, including H. Konwiński, T. Tokarczyk, Janina Niesobska, Jerzy Dybał, Wiesław Ochman, the Silesian Opera and the Wrocław Opera. Recent achievements include a distinction at the Imrich Godin International Vocal Competition 2023, or participation in the final of the International Solo Sacred Vocal Competition Ars et Gloria 2023.

On New Year's Eve, he will delight the audience with the timbre of his baritone voice and theatrical expressiveness.

The Bydgoszcz Symphony Orchestra — For more than three decades, it invites the audience to the world of music full of elegance, emotion and good humor.

It was founded in 1995 on the initiative of Marek Czekała as the Johan Strauss Orchestra. Since then, she has given more than a thousand concerts in the country and abroad, and her special musical showcase has become the operetta repertoire. Although close to her Viennese charms and dancing temperament, she successfully crosses the boundaries of genres. It ranges from swing, oratorical works and symphonic arrangements of rock music, showing how many colors and moods can cover orchestral sounds.Concerts of the Orchestra are extremely enthusiastically received by the public throughout Poland. During New Year's Eve at the Cultural Center of the Theatre, the orchestra will perform under the baton of its founder — Marek Czekała.

Marek Czekała — conductor, composer, arranger, violinist. In 1995 he founded the Johann Strauss Orchestra, also known as the Bydgoszcz Symphony Orchestra, which he conducted continuously until 2016. Not only did he conduct it, but sometimes — as Johann Strauss himself once did — he conducted it while playing the violin at the same time. During the concert activity of the Orchestra, he created many musical projects, was the artistic director of excellent festivals such as the Inowrocław Opera and Operetta Gala or Chojnickie Operetta Nights, and for many years he also prepared arrangements for works performed on Ciechociński Artistic Impressions. In 2016 he became the director of the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, and in 2019 he returned to Bydgoszcz and to conduct the ensemble he had founded almost 20 years earlier, namely the Bydgoszcz Symphony Orchestra.

Emilia Czekała — singer, speaker, flutist. Her versatile interests can be evidenced by the fact that she graduated with honors in film studies and German at the British university The University of Hull. After returning to the country, music became the most important, which is why she studied jazz vocals at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz under the direction of Prof. Joanna Zagdańska. She is also successful as a speaker — for many years she has been conducting concerts of the Bydgoszcz Symphony Orchestra, of which she is currently the director.
