Their adventure with professional music education begins at different stages of life. Often, the first lessons of playing an instrument are ahead of studying in a typical school. At a time when their colleagues have free time, they have to spend several hours a day mastering an increasingly difficult repertoire. Many of their peers give up their musical practice during (and sometimes even after) a long, often several dozen years of learning to play or sing. Finally, for many of them, graduating from a higher music university is just a stop on a longer path of improving the skills acquired so far. The concerts of graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, held every year in the halls of the National Philharmonic, are a unique event for both recent graduates of the Warsaw university and listeners. For the former, it is a dream opportunity to face the stage where world-class musicians appear; for the latter, the opportunity to discover young talents, often before the world hears about them.
