During the symphony concert Romantic moods will be performed by harpist Zarina Zaradna and the Symphony Orchestra of the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic under the baton of Piotr Wijatkowski.

The evening will begin with Ludomir Różycki's Mona Lisa Gioconda - an atmospheric symphonic prelude kept in late Romantic style and distinguished by colorful orchestration.

This will be followed by Reinhold Gliere's Concerto for Harp and Orchestra in E flat major, Op. 74, in which lyrical melody is combined with a spectacular, virtuosic part of a solo instrument.

The program will also include Jean Sibelius's Valse Triste Op. 44 - a melancholic waltz that was created as part of the music for Kuolem's drama and over time became one of the composer's most recognizable works.

The concert will conclude with Edvard Grieg's Norwegian Dances Op. 35 No. 1 - 4 - a series of four pieces inspired by Norwegian folk music, combining exuberant rhythmics with more lyrical passages.

Zarina Zaradna

She is a fifteen-year-old Polish harpist who, despite her young age, already has extensive concert and orchestral experience. In 2023, Zarina Zaradna won first place in the international music program Virtuosos V4+ in Budapest. This success opened her way to performances with renowned ensembles such as the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Pannon Philharmonic, the Concerto Budapest and the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra.

She has collaborated with prominent conductors, including János Kovács, Tibor Bogányi, András Keller and Gábor Hollerung. She also performed as a soloist with the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra named after Jerzy Semkow, and in 2025 presented a harp recital in Istanbul.

In April 2026 she won the Grand Prix of the National Competition “Musical Spring” in Bielsko-Biała. In her repertoire a special place is occupied by concert music, including Reinhold Glière's Harp Concerto in E flat major op. 74. Zarina studied at the Zenon Brzewski School of Music in Warsaw.

At the age of 12, Zarina recorded an album of more than one hour in the S2 Studio of Polish Radio. The album: “PRIMA Zarina Zaradna harp”, contains more than 64 minutes of harp music — from classicism to the present, including her own arrangement of “Lacrimosa” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
