Beneath the surface of the city, in the unusual space of Łódź's Dętka Canal, music that has never been there before will sound. Intimate concerts in this unique place are a meeting of sound with history and austere architecture. The programme will feature old, improvised, folk and contemporary music, creating an intriguing dialogue between eras and styles. Artists will guide listeners through a variety of soundscapes — from meditative, subtle sounds to energetic, pulsating forms — using the channel's extraordinary acoustics that bring out new meanings from the music. The unique space and repertoire that crosses the border of genres make the evening a one-of-a-kind event. Musicians will present historical instruments such as quintvirginal and traverso flutes — enriched with diverse vocals of singers, creating unique configurations of sounds and emotions.
