Venue: Poznań, Club Pod Minogą
Before Cameron Findlay focused on solo activities, he made his mark in the music world as drummer for Crystal Castles (he played there for several months since 2007) and co-creator of synth-pop Parallels, from which he left in 2011. The next step was Kontravoid, with which the musician is active to this day. He has been developing it especially intensively in recent years, because since 2019 his discography has expanded with four new titles. The most recent of them is “Sound of the Void”, released on October 2, which confirms the musician's position as one of the most expressive figures of dark, but also highly successful electronics.
Both in studio and live, Kontravoid has not been used to disappoint. Findlay performs in a distinctive white mask, and his performance not only grabs attention, it primarily leads through raw beats, rhythmic bass and catchy melodies straight to the dance floor. So where to find the best darkwave dance just before the end of the year? You should know the answer by now.
Los Angeles-based duo Spike Hellis will take over the stage in Minoda to warm up. Their mix of EBM and industrial will make you dance from the very first rhythms of this evening. They often perform live - they have already played tours with Choir Boy, Soft Kill, Kontravoid or even Portrayal of Guilt. In August, their second album, Successor, was released.
