CONVENTION

A performance entitled “Convention” realized by Teatr Oczami Brat and Teatr Nowy in Częstochowa.

This is a unique theatre and performance project, the central theme of which is to create a space for open dialogue on the perception, observance and realization of the rights of persons with disabilities in everyday social life, with particular emphasis on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The performance is distinguished by the fact that the main creators and performers are people with disabilities, who for the first time on stage play with professional actors.

It is their perspective, their experiences and their reflections that become the narrative axis of the performance.

The actors, sharing their experiences and insights, bring authenticity that deeply moves viewers. Thanks to this, the show not only tells about rights, but above all it concretizes them - showing how these rights affect (or should affect) the daily lives of people with disabilities.
