The show is recommended for viewers over 16 years of age. During the performance, strobe light and intense smoke of the hall are used. A performance with subtitles in English. After the performance, there will be a meeting with the creators.
The bark after death stands at the gate of heaven, where the Three Marys are waiting for her. Very dressy. As painted: Our Lady of Częstochowa, Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Guadalupe. Faced with the grotesque Last Judgment, the Cora returns in songs and confessions to earthly memories. He finally has the opportunity to tell his life to those who could have made it better... The show is a story about a woman, an artist, a daughter and a mother, about Poland, religion, system and disease; it is a fairytale story about love, longing, powerlessness and grief.
The three Marys symbolize three different attitudes and three different spheres of life. The Three Divine Virtues. Our Lady of Częstochowa is Faith — Church, Poland, politics, system. Our Lady of Fatima is Hope — naivety, purity, child and longing. Our Lady of Guadalupe is Love — true free love, music, madness and Native American trans...
In the performance we will hear the greatest hits of Maanamu sung by Katarzyna Chlebny.
Meetings with the Marys are punctuated by phenomenal performances by Khlebna, who breathed into the songs of Maanam a second life. The artist perfectly reproduced Kora's voice, her characteristic manner, facial expressions. It was an extraordinary spectacle. It was impossible to resist the impression that some of the verses were sung by Jackowska herself. Magdalena Konarska, Virtual Poland
As for the content — Chlebny put at a distance from herself and the world, but also the intelligence of the viewer. As for the form — the director decided to be spectacular, but without cheesiness. In the performance you can also feel great respect for the phenomenal figure of Kora as a woman of color, tolerant, but above all like us: imperfect. Therefore, it is definitely worth seeing.
